Quick start

See MTR tracks, routes and landmarks on either supported fullscreen map.

Open a fullscreen map

Join a world with MTR data, then open Xaero’s World Map or JourneyMap. MTR Map Overlay draws physical TRAIN rails, route-coloured ribbons, and map-only station, platform and depot icons.

Toggle the layers

Both integrations have separate TRACKS and ROUTES controls. Green means a layer is on; red means it is off. In JourneyMap the controls appear in the add-on button panel. You can also change the defaults with /mtrmap config trackLines and /mtrmap config routeLines.

Hover over a route or landmark to inspect its name and related routes. When multiple routes use the same physical rail, their colours appear in adjacent bands.

Nearby data and whole-network data

With the mod on the client only, the overlay uses nearby data already sent by MTR. To see the whole network in each dimension, the server must also run the matching MTR Map Overlay build and MTR. Use /mtrmap syncRoutes to request a refresh when the server supports snapshots.
